Your Mileage May Vary

Every single moment looks as though silence
has polished it and sent it out to play
in the fields of sun and destiny landing
lightly on my outstretched purpose,
laughing at all my intentions as
each one lines up to desperately explain
how it must be served swallowed configured
trusted inherited worshipped abhorred
cut sliced and perpetrated – each moment
meanwhile, passing polished and perfect
streaming countless treasures to my door
which remains closed until
further notice.
